At 37 years old, Robert Lewandowski continues to showcase his extraordinary goal-scoring prowess at the highest level. In the recent league clash between FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo, the Polish striker netted a hat-trick, bringing his season tally to seven goals and closing in on the current Pichichi leader, Kylian Mbappe.

Despite his impressive form, Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain. The striker is entering the final year of his contract, which runs until June 2026, and in the past week, he has made it clear on two occasions that he is in no rush to renew.

The striker has explained that he wants to assess how he feels physically and mentally by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, interest from other clubs appears to be growing. According to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu from TSYD, cited by Mundo Deportivo, Turkish side Fenerbahçe has made indirect inquiries regarding Lewandowski.

The Turkish club is reportedly considering selling En Nesyri, who is eager to move to Saudi Arabia, which could open the door for Fenerbahçe to propose a one-and-a-half-year contract for the Polish striker. No official steps have been taken so far, as the club seeks to maintain stability within the squad.

Meanwhile, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on Sky Sport (h/t Mundo Deportivo) that AC Milan is monitoring Lewandowski for next season, when he would be available on a free transfer.

Tavolieri noted that Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, has recently reached out to the player’s representatives and is scheduled to meet Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, in the coming weeks to discuss a potential salary structure that fits within the Italian club’s financial plans.

Milan’s former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now part of the club’s technical staff, is reportedly pushing strongly for the signing. As per the report, Lewandowski is said to be attracted to Milan due to its historic status, Serie A experience, and the opportunity to continue competing in the Champions League.

The possibility of him remaining at Barcelona cannot be ruled out, especially given his consistent performances. Saudi clubs continue to monitor the striker, although he rejected a multimillion-dollar offer last summer.

Speculation about retirement has also been dismissed by his agent, Pini Zahavi, who confirmed that as long as Lewandowski remains fit, he will continue playing.

For now, Lewandowski remains focused on scoring goals and helping Barcelona succeed, leaving decisions about his future for later in the season.
