With their recent run of renewals, FC Barcelona have secured the long-term futures of most of their players. However, one important player whose future still remains subject to a lot of uncertainty is the forward Robert Lewandowski.
The Pole is currently in the last year of his contract with the Catalan club, and although the Blaugranes have not yet ruled out an extension for him, they have also not yet offered him a new contract.
Meanwhile, the Polish striker himself has offers from several sides, including from MLS and the Saudi Pro League. However, he has not responded to any of these offers yet, as he looks to focus on the season and left the door for negotiations open for the future.
In this regard, SPORT reports that the Polish journalist, Tomasz Włodarczyk, who is quite close to the player’s entourage, claims that he will make a decision in this regard only after the club presidential elections have been conducted, before April.
These elections are scheduled to take place on 15th March, and although Joan Laporta is the clear favorite to win, Robert Lewandowski would still be looking to see this matter settled before making a decision about his future at Barcelona.
