PSG will take on Barcelona on October 1 in the UEFA Champions League group stage, with both sides carrying strong momentum.

The Parisians opened the campaign with a 4-0 victory over Atalanta, scoring twice in each half despite missing Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé. Barcelona followed with a 2-1 win at Newcastle United, thanks to a Marcus Rashford brace.

For this highly anticipated clash, Barcelona hope to have Lamine Yamal back. The 18-year-old prodigy missed the team’s last two matches due to a groin injury.

“We’re working on it, but with Lamine, you have to take it day by day,” Hansi Flick said Saturday, speaking about his young talent (h/t Le10Sport). “He’s working hard, receiving treatment every day, and making good progress.”

But as Mundo Deportivo reports, Barcelona’s main goal is to have Lamine Yamal available for their home clash against PSG in early October. The Catalan club hopes the No. 10 will be fully fit for the showdown.

Moreover, there’s another player that the La Liga side hopes to have for this matchup. Diario AS reports that if Gavi’s situation improves, he’ll return in two weeks and just in time for the match against the Ligue 1 club.
