FC Barcelona is still working to resolve the registration issues that continue to plague the club. Despite the fact that La Liga has already kicked off, certain operations are still pending. Fortunately, good progress has been made.

Ahead of the first game against RCD Mallorca, Barça managed to register Joan Garcia and then Marcus Rashford as well. Both players even featured during the game, but it seems that the club is now looking the accelerate the pending registrations as well.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barça’s priority is to have 23-year-old Spanish full-back Gerard Martin registered in time for the upcoming La Liga game against Levante. Right after him, the club will then look to register both Wojciech Szczesny and Roony Bardghji with the first team.

At the moment, the club is looking to accelerate these operations, but they remain directly tied to other operations. Martin’s registration, for instance, reportedly depends on the exit of Oriol Romeu, but fortunately that seems to be an advanced operation thanks to the possible termination of his contract.

Registrations linked to other potential exits

As for the registrations of both Szczesny and Bardghji, they similarly remain linked to the exits of Inaki Pena and Hector Fort. Fortunately for the players and Barça, both of those exit-linked players are expected to leave the club before the end of the transfer window as well.

Ultimately, time will tell what ends up happening with these registrations but the club wants to give Hansi Flick a fully available squad as soon as possible. At the moment, things look positive and it looks likely that the pending registration operations will be resolved gradually but timely.
