The board at Barcelona have touched base with their counterparts at La Liga rivals Real Betis, over a potential summer deal for Abde Ezzalzouli (Ez Abde).
This comes amid an ongoing search for reinforcements on the flanks in Hansi Flick’s squad.
The name of wide-man Ez will of course be a familiar one to those of a Barcelona persuasion.
This comes with the Moroccan international having spent two years on the books at the Camp Nou, between 2021 and 2023.
Ez went on to rack up 12 La Liga appearances in the colours of the Blaugrana, before departing for Real Betis on a permanent basis three years ago.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then a reunion between the parties could yet be on the cards this summer.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Barcelona made contact last week to inquire about Ez Abde’s current situation.’
The Catalans maintain a buy-back option on the attacker, albeit with Betis’ recent qualification for next season’s Champions League understood to have complicated the matter.
Ez, for his part, has racked up an impressive 14 goals and 13 assists across the season to date.
