As reported earlier this week, FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has requested three new signings for the summer of 2026.

The German tactician wants the Catalans to bring in a new centre-forward, a new left-footed centre-back, as well as a winger before the start of the next season.

Targets for each position have also been identified, with Bundesliga-based stars like Harry Kane, Serhou Guirassy, and Nico Schlotterbeck, among others, on the club’s radars.

Now, though, it appears that another talent from the German top flight has caught the attention of Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.

Yan Diomande catches Flick’s eyes

Indeed, according to BILD (h/t Mundo Deportivo), RB Leipzig teenage winger Yan Diomande has caught the attention of Barcelona manager Flick.

The 19-year-old starlet, who spent his formative years in football in the USA, arrived in Spain in January, when he signed for Leganes. Only six months later, he secured a €20 million transfer to RB Leipzig, where he has been highly impressive.

In 13 appearances for the German outfit in all competitions, Diomande has produced a return of four goals and three assists, catching the attention of onlookers with his electric pace and dribbling abilities.

The youngster has also made four appearances for the Ivory Coast national team, scoring two goals in the process.

Diomande has a contract with Leipzig until 2030, and even though they signed him only a few months ago for €20 million, the Bundesliga outfit believe that his current value would be around €100 million.

So, prying Diomande away from Leipzig will be anything but easy. But for now, the teenage speedster seems to have caught Flick’s eye and only time will tell if it leads to anything substantial in the future.
