With every passing day, the transfer roadmap of FC Barcelona for the upcoming summer window is taking clearer shape, with the club already defining both its priorities and contingency plans across multiple positions.

As things stand, the Blaugrana hierarchy is focused on reinforcing two key areas with top-level quality. The center forward position remains the main priority, with Julian Alvarez emerging as the standout target due to his age, profile, and commercial appeal.

Alongside him, the club is also pushing to sign a left-footed center back, with Alessandro Bastoni currently leading the shortlist as the ideal defensive addition.

Beyond these primary objectives, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are preparing alternatives in case certain operations do not materialize. In attack, the club retains the option to sign Marcus Rashford permanently for around €30 million, but his high salary complicates matters. As a result, younger and more financially viable options are being explored.

One such option is Jan Virgili, a former Barcelona talent now at Mallorca. Barcelona still hold 40% of his rights and a right of first refusal, giving them leverage. Meanwhile, Andreas Schjelderup of Benfica is also being monitored after impressing domestically and in Europe.

At fullback, uncertainty surrounding Joao Cancelo has led the club to identify alternatives. With Al Hilal expected to demand a transfer fee, Barcelona are assessing other options. Andrea Cambiaso stands out for his versatility and age profile, while Alejandro Grimaldo is seen as a market opportunity due to his contract situation.

The goalkeeping department could also change, with Wojciech Szczesny potentially departing. In that case, Alex Remiro is being considered as a reliable option to compete alongside Joan Garcia.

In conclusion, FC Barcelona are approaching the summer transfer window with a clear and flexible strategy, prioritizing key signings like Julian Alvarez and Alessandro Bastoni while also preparing solid alternatives across multiple positions.
