The brass at Barcelona have identified a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid as a summer transfer target.
The player in question? Alexander Sørloth.
Barcelona are of course expected to bring in reinforcements at centre-forward with a view to next season.
This comes with the futures of both Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres considered as being up in the air.
The Blaugrana, in turn, have been linked with moves for a whole host of goalscorers from across the continent.
And as alluded to above, late this week, the identity of one such target has been revealed.
As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto, speaking to Marca, Deco and the Camp Nou transfer team have set sights on Atlético Madrid powerhouse Alexander Sørloth:
‘The Norwegian, whose contract runs until 2028, is appealing due to his technical similarities to the Polish striker and his ability to adapt immediately to Hansi Flick’s system,’ it is noted.
