The future of Ansu Fati has once again become the talking point in Barcelona circles, as his recent ostracisation under Hansi Flick continues.

Fati’s falling status in the Barcelona squad was evident this week when the forward was left out of the team to face Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup, much to the surprise of the player himself.

While Fati wasn’t initially planning on leaving Barcelona, the recent signals from Flick might just convince him to reconsider his decision.

Turkish clubs eye move for Fati

Fati has had no shortage of suitors either, with La Liga clubs such as Sevilla and Real Betis interested in his services.

According to Fotomas (h/t Diario AS), Turkey, too, could be a potential destination for the Barcelona outcast, amid interest from Fenerbahce.

It appears Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the Spaniard and would want to lure him to Istanbul this month.

Fenerbahce are not the only club interested in Fati, as Besiktas, too, are considering a move for the Barcelona frontman.

In fact, the Black Eagles are slated to table a loan offer to Barcelona for Fati, though whether or not it might include a purchase option remains unclear.

Barcelona, for their part, are unlikely to object to Fati’s loan exit this month. Although they might not receive a significant fee, the club can potentially salary burden of the attacker, who has one of the most lucrative contracts in the first team.

Mainstream European stars have rarely found relevance after moving to Turkey in the recent past. But for Fati, a move to a club like Besiktas or Fenerbahce might just be something he needs in order to start afresh and revive his career.
