Barcelona star bags latest Man of the Match award for display vs Elche | OneFootball

Barcelona summer signing Marcus Rashford was on Sunday the recipient of his latest Man of the Match award.

This comes owing to his performance in the club’s meeting with Elche.

Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago, welcoming newly-promoted Elche to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana secured a needed return to winning ways, by way of a 3-1 result.

And it was the aforementioned Rashford who rounded out the scoring in the clash.

After proving himself a constant threat in the final third across the opening hour of the fixture, the 28-year-old finally secured his deserved reward courtesy of a rasping left-footed finish off the underside of the crossbar.

This took Rashford’s tally for the campaign to an impressive 11 direct goal contributions.

And as alluded to above, his latest efforts did not go unrecognised post-match.

This comes amid confirmation of Rashford being named ‘MVP’ (Man of the Match) in Barcelona 3-1 Elche.
