Barcelona star Lamine Yamal secured for himself a piece of European football history on Monday.
This came owing to his inclusion in the latest FIFPRO World XI.
The 2025 FIFPRO XI – which aims to recognise the standout players in world football across the prior 12 months – was unveiled earlier today.
And featuring front and centre were a Barcelona stars, namely Pedri, and Lamine Yamal.
It was the latter’s inclusion, though, which came as a history-making one.
As revealed across FIFPRO’s social media platforms, wide-man Lamine is the youngest player ever selected for their World XI.
Not only that, but the Spanish international received more votes than any other outfield player for this year’s line-up.
Lamine will for his part be hopeful of building upon his latest individual honour with another starring performance on Wednesday night.
Fresh off opening the scoring in Barcelona’s 3-1 La Liga victory over Elche on Sunday, the youngster is expected to feature from the off once more in two days’ time, against Club Brugge.
