Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen remains absent from training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

As much was confirmed by way of a round of footage released by the Blaugrana on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has for his part spent the early days of Barcelona’s pre-season training schedule doing work away from the group.

Amid ongoing speculation surrounding his future, the German international has been put through individualised sessions in the gym.

As much, initially, was understood to have come owing to Ter Stegen having lost his place in Hansi Flick’s plans.

The last couple of days, however, have seen it revealed that the 33-year-old is actually suffering with a back injury, which could even see him forced under the knife.

And as much, as alluded to above, proved enough to keep Ter Stegen out of group training at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper once more on Saturday.

As showcased below, Barca’s shot-stopper contingent consisted of Joan García, Wojciech Szczęsny, and Iñaki Peña.
