Barcelona star ‘very close’ to summer exit | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is on the verge of bringing a close to his time with the club.

The player in question? Robert Lewandowski.

Frontman Lewandowski’s future has of course long proven a leading talking point in the media in Catalunya’s capital.

This comes with the Pole’s Barcelona contract terms set to come to an end upon the season’s close.

Contrasting reports have been in circulation for some time now, regarding whether or not Lewandowski could be afforded a one-year extension by the Camp Nou brass.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then as much now appears to have been all but ruled out.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Robert Lewandowski and Barça, new deal talks are completely on stand-by and the summer exit is now very close. If there’s no fresh proposal, Lewandowski will leave as free agent.’
