PSG will meet Barcelona on October 1 in the UEFA Champions League league phase, with both teams carrying strong early-season form into the showdown.
The French champions kicked off their campaign in style, rolling past Atalanta 4-0 with two goals in each half, even without Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé available.
Barcelona answered with a gritty 2-1 win at Newcastle United, led by a Marcus Rashford brace. With both clubs considered serious contenders for the trophy, this clash could set the tone for the rest of their Champions League run.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Raphinha picked up a new injury on Thursday and is expected to be sidelined for about three weeks. That timeline means he’ll be unavailable for Barcelona’s clash with PSG.
Both teams are managing injuries ahead of this matchup. According to Le Parisien, Bradley Barcola and João Neves will travel with the squad to Barcelona and could get minutes against Auxerre.
The same report adds that Doué is progressing well in his recovery. He has started running again on a specialized machine, fueling optimism that he might at least make the bench at Montjuïc next week.
Meanwhile, in Spain, SPORT’s Carlos Monfort revealed that Lamine Yamal has returned to ball work in training. Barcelona staff view his recovery as encouraging and believe he has a realistic shot at featuring against Real Sociedad.
