Barcelona and Spain have received encouraging news ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, with Lamine Yamal set to be fully available despite the injury concerns that emerged after the semi-final victory over France.
The teenage winger played a decisive role as Spain secured a 2-0 win to book a place in the tournament’s showpiece event.
However, the celebrations were briefly overshadowed when Yamal was seen limping after the final whistle, prompting fresh questions over his fitness just days before the meeting with Argentina.
According to Mundo Deportivo, those fears have now been eased, with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirming that every member of Luis de la Fuente’s 26-man squad is fit for selection.
Yamal’s performance against France once again underlined why he has become one of Spain’s most influential players despite his age.
The Barcelona forward consistently threatened the French defence and helped drive his team into the World Cup final.
Concern only surfaced in the closing stages of the match when the 19-year-old appeared to suffer a knock after bringing down Kylian Mbappe during a defensive transition.
He immediately grabbed his leg, although he returned to his feet and completed the remainder of the contest without requesting medical attention or being substituted.
After the match, Yamal was also seen walking with a noticeable limp as he made his way through the stadium, leading to speculation that he could be carrying an injury into the final.

Those concerns have since proved unfounded, with Spain’s medical staff giving the winger a positive assessment ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente was quick to address Yamal’s fitness after the semi-final, revealing that initial conversations with the medical department had produced no cause for alarm.
“As far as I know, Lamine is fine. I’ve just spoken to the doctors,” he said.
Notably, the positive update extends beyond Yamal for Spain, with defender Pedro Porro also expected to be available after his own fitness concerns.
