Barcelona ‘to consider’ Bradley Barcola if he becomes available this summer | OneFootball

Barcelona plan at least two major signings for Hansi Flick, with Alessandro Bastoni and Julian Alvarez the preferred targets. They are also preparing to replace Marcus Rashford, who is unlikely to stay permanently.

Barcelona would accept Rashford returning only on another loan, which Manchester United have ruled out, making an extended stay improbable. According to Sport, Bradley Barcola could come into focus if he is placed on the market this summer.

Low-cost alternatives are being prioritised, including Ez Abde, Jan Virgili and Victor Munoz. Liverpool are viewed as strong candidates for Barcola, whose contract situation has created doubt over his future with the reigning European champions.

Barcelona would need to free salary space to be in the race, potentially via expected departures of Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Barcola is admired by sporting director Deco, though relations with agent Moussa Sissoko, blamed internally for Ousmane Dembele’s 2023 exit, complicate any talks.

There is talk that €80m could secure Barcola. Whether funds remain after recruiting a new centre-back and a striker, the club’s priority positions, will determine any move.
