Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona remains one of the most delicate and closely watched situations inside the club. 

Despite being one of the most experienced figures in the dressing room, the Polish striker is approaching the final stretch of his contract, which expires at the end of the season, with no renewal talks having been opened so far.

From Barcelona’s perspective, the delay is not accidental. The club is well aware of their financial limitations and is carefully assessing the market before making any firm decisions. 

For now, there is no urgency to rush into negotiations.

On the pitch, Lewandowski’s role has subtly shifted in recent weeks. The veteran forward has been managing his physical condition more cautiously and has also seen his starting spot come under threat, with Ferran Torres gaining prominence.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski is actively reflecting on his next steps, a development that has caught the attention of Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire. 

The report claims that the American club has already initiated contact with Lewandowski’s entourage. 

Those initial discussions are said to have been positive, with Chicago Fire confident that the striker’s salary would not be an insurmountable issue should negotiations progress further. 

As such, Chicago Fire are not alone in monitoring the situation. In recent days, speculation has also linked Lewandowski with Inter Miami, although no concrete steps have been taken. 

Interest from the Saudi Pro League also remains a factor, with financial power unlikely to be an obstacle there.

For Lewandowski, the decision will require careful consideration. Remaining at Barcelona for another season, moving to the United States, or accepting a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia are all scenarios on the table.
