FC Barcelona have been making several moves to address their goalkeeper position, where, only a few days ago, there was quite a clutter of players who are not in the plans of Hansi Flick going forward. The German has a clear starter for the goal in mind, Joan Garcia, and also a clear deputy for him, Wojciech Szczesny.

Therefore, the Catalans have offloaded the likes of Inaki Pena, who joined the Greek side Panathinaikos for €3 million, Ander Astralaga, who left after running down his contract, and Diego Kochen, who has joined the Danish side Lyngby Boldklub on a season-long loan, in recent days, while they are also close to loaning out Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Ajax.

However, the departure of these players would again leave a gap in the team, i.e., that of the third-choice goalkeeper, that was taken alternatively by Kochen and Astralaga for the last few years. In this regard, a report from Mundo Deportivo claims that there are two players now being considered for this role, Iker Rodriguez and Eder Aller.

The former, only 18 years old, still has a youth team contract that goes till 2027, but he is seen as the most promising goalkeeper at La Masia, and the Catalans have placed very high hopes on him. On the other hand, the latter, 19 years old, has already worked with Hansi Flick for some time, and was called up for 16 matches with the first team last season. His contract goes till 2028, and can be extended for another year.

The third-choice goalkeeper for Barcelona would be one of these two players. For now, Hansi Flick would decide which of them gets this honor, with the likes of Kochen and Astralaga having already left the club to take the next step sin their career.
