Barcelona are not only closing in on the La Liga title, they are also building towards a historic milestone that only a select few teams have ever achieved.

Under Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana have accumulated 76 points with eight matches still to play.

With 24 points left on the table, the equation is simple yet demanding – win every remaining game, and Barcelona will reach the iconic 100-point mark.

A rare achievement in La Liga history

Reaching 100 points in La Liga is no ordinary feat, as it has only been done twice before, placing it among the most exclusive records in Spanish football.

For Barcelona fans, the benchmark remains the unforgettable 2012/13 campaign under Tito Vilanova.

That side delivered one of the most dominant seasons in league history, finishing with 100 points courtesy of 32 wins, four draws, and just two defeats.

Led by Lionel Messi, who scored an incredible 46 league goals, Barcelona also found the net in every single match that season.

Interestingly, the first club to reach the 100-point milestone was Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho in the 2011/12 season.

That Madrid side combined efficiency with attacking firepower, finishing with 121 goals scored.

More than a decade later, Barcelona have positioned themselves to challenge that elite benchmark once again.

However, there is zero margin for error, as this Hansi Flick side must win all eight remaining fixtures to reach the magical 100-point total.

The road to history is anything but straightforward, as Barcelona still have to go through tricky home fixtures against Espanyol, Celta Vigo, Real Madrid, and Real Betis.

On the road, they will face Getafe, Osasuna, Alaves, and Valencia, fixtures that offer no guarantees, especially with pressure mounting.
