kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, but a move currently appears difficult.
Akliouche is said to be Leverkusen’s dream target and is said to see the 23-year-old as the difference maker they need in their attack; however, the price and the fact that other clubs are interested could be a problem.
Leverkusen are prepared to pay €40m for the winger, but the Principality could demand close to €60m for Akliouche, which is too much for die Werkself. On top of this, if other clubs show interest in the Olympic Silver Medalist, Monaco could drive the price up.
If no club shows interest in Akliouche, then Leverkusen have a better chance of signing the 23-year-old.
This summer, Leverkusen have shown that they are ready to spend after the arrival of Jarell Quansah from Liverpool for €30m and the pending incoming of Malick Tilman from PSV Eindhoven for €35m.
