Bayer Leverkusen expecting final offer from Liverpool for Florian Wirtz | OneFootball

As Florian Wirtz’ pending move to Liverpool nears, Bild report that Bayer Leverkusen are expecting a ‘final written offer’ from the Premier League champions for the German superstar.

The Bundesliga club have already rejected two approaches from Liverpool for Wirtz, with the latest being a reported €130m. Liverpool are expected to offer around €140m but Bayer 04 remain adamant on their €150m valuation of the 22-year which could be reached with achievable bonuses – the package may also include additional bonuses.

Bild further report that Bayer Leverkusen have not asked the DFB to consider resting Wirtz for Germany’s UEFA Nations League third-place play-off game against France as to avoid the player picking up any unnecessary injuries that could put the move in doubt.

The arrival of Wirtz at Liverpool should see two transfer records broken: the record fee received by a Bundesliga club for a player, and a record arrival in the Premier League, beating Chelsea’s record purchase of Enzo Fernandez for around €121m.
