Bayer Leverkusen in talks to sign Manchester United target Afonso Moreira from Lyon | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen are in active discussions to sign Afonso Moreira (21) from Lyon during the summer transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Following an impressive season in Ligue 1, the Portuguese youth international could be on the move this summer. 

With Manchester United and Atlético Madrid also reportedly interested in the OL attacker, it is Bayer Leverkusen that are currently leading the race for his signature. Moreira’s value has skyrocketed in recent months following an impressive debut season with Les Gones. He scored 8 goals and registered 11 assists in all competitions last term. 

Lyon forced to sell with Moreira targeted

In a bid to satisfy the DNCG, OL are aiming to sell one of their players before 30th June. With interest high in the 21-year-old, he could be set to leave the Ligue 1 club. Les Gones will be set to receive a healthy profit on any sale of the former Sporting attacker after signing him for just €2m.
