Bayer Leverkusen sign Serbian prospect Aleksa Damjanovic, arrival set for summer | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of 17-year-old Serbian forward Aleksa Damjanovic from Red Star Belgrade. The club said in a statement that he will join in the summer.

Sporting director Simon Rolfes described him as among Europe’s most promising young strikers, praising his eagerness to learn and hunger for success. He added that Leverkusen are delighted to welcome him.

Director of football Kim Falkenberg said Damjanovic makes strong use of his physique in the penalty area and highlighted his finishing and heading.

Damjanovic called the move a fantastic opportunity to develop at a top club. He said Bayer 04 feels the right place to take his step abroad and that he is highly motivated to prove himself in Leverkusen.

The purchase agreement includes a bonus structure.
