According to BuLi News, Bayern Munich left on Saturday for a pre-season tour of Asia without several first-team regulars.
As previously agreed, World Cup semi-finalists Harry Kane, Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise did not travel, as they are still on holiday.
Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, new signing Ismael Saibari, Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl stayed in Munich to continue their recovery programmes.
The available German World Cup participants, including captain Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich, were included in the travelling party.
Bayern also called up several highly rated academy players, among them 16-year-old striker Bastian Assomo, 16-year-old centre-back Filip Pavic, 19-year-old midfielder Guido Della Rovere, 17-year-old winger Maycon Cardozo and 19-year-old midfielder Felipe Chavez.
Seventeen-year-old winger Tim Binder is the standout surprise, having impressed in pre-season, notably in the 2-1 defeat to Wehen Wiesbaden when academy players featured.
Vincent Kompany’s squad have arrived in South Korea, where they face Jeju SK in a friendly on Tuesday.
