Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing Anthony Gordon this summer.
However, Bayern Munich are currently leading the transfer race for the 25-year-old.
According to the Times, Gordon is open to joining the Bundesliga giants.
The transfer fee could be a major stumbling block as Newcastle value the forward at £75 million.
Bayern’s initial valuation is believed to be about £55m, but that is unacceptable for the Magpies.
Arsenal have long admired Gordon, and he has featured in recruitment planning meetings.
They are in the market for a player to compete with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left flank.
Liverpool came close to signing Gordon in 2024, but a transfer didn’t materialise.
The England international signed a new contract until 2030 after his move to Anfield fell through.
Gordon has been a key first-team player for Newcastle, scoring 39 goals in 152 appearances across all competitions.
He has started 24 times in the Premier League this season, with eight direct goal contributions to his name.
Newcastle must sell players this summer if they want to refresh their ageing squad.
They couldn’t make a major addition in the January transfer window due to financial restrictions.
The Magpies have endured a disappointing 2025-26 campaign.
Newcastle are set to miss out on Champions League qualification, as they are 14th in the league standings with five games remaining.
