According to Sport1, Bayern Munich have stepped up their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, with a meeting about a move to the German record champions already held.

Brown is viewed as an alternative to Alphonso Davies, who has struggled with injuries throughout the season.

The 22-year-old is under contract with Frankfurt until 2030, and the club had previously hoped to command a 65 million fee.

Missing out on European competition has increased pressure on the Hessen club to sell. As a consequence of not qualifying for a UEFA competition next season, his price could drop to ensure they cash in.

Brown made 33 Bundesliga appearances this season, contributing four goals and four assists.
