Bayern Munich ‘to seek’ €25m as Benfica target João Palhinha | OneFootball

Benfica are exploring a move for João Palhinha, who is considered a priority for Marco Silva, with Bayern Munich open to talks in the coming weeks.

Record writes that Bayern are willing to negotiate at around €25 million. Rui Costa is considering an initial loan with a fee and an option to buy, and any deal would also require agreement with the player.

The 31-year-old currently earns about €8.5 million per season, a figure beyond Benfica’s wage structure. Even so, he is willing to accept a significant pay cut.

Palhinha’s strong relationship with Silva, built during their time together at Fulham, could help unlock a complex operation.

Out of Bayern’s plans after a 2025/26 loan at Tottenham, the Portugal international now faces an imminent decision. Bayern’s preference is a permanent sale, or alternatively another loan.
