Nottingham Forest are looking to sign a new right-back, and they have earmarked the Dutch defender as a potential option.

Nottingham Forest bid for Givairo Read rejected?

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Nottingham Forest submitted €17.5m official bid to Feyenoord for Read.

However, the Dutch club quickly rejected the offer, as the bid was well below their liking.

The Premier League club have money to spend this summer after selling Elliot Anderson for £116m, it will be interesting to see if they come up with another tempting offer for the defender.

The youngster has made 54 appearances for Feyenoord already, including 20 last season, scoring two goals.

Are Bayern Munich still interested in signing Givairo Read?

Christian Falk has told CFBayern Insider that Bayern are still interested in signing Read, but he is not a priority at the moment.

The Bild journalist has informed that Read is still on Bayern’s shortlist of targets, and they could move for him if they sell players such as Sacha Boey.

Bayern have enough depth in the right-back areas. Konrad Laimar and Josip Stanisic are major options for Vincent Kompany.

On top of that they still have Boey on their ranks.

Boey returned to his former club Galatasaray on loan in the January window of 2026, with the Turkish club having the option to sign him permanently for €15m.

However, as of now, Galatasaray have made no attempt to secure his signature, which means Bayern will have to look for potential buyers for Boey.

Bayern have signed Nathaniel Brown this summer, and while he is primarily a left-back, the German international can also play as a right-back.
