Bayern Munich remain interested in a deal to sign Theo Hernández from AC Milan as the club prepare for Alphonso Davies to depart.
Hernandez is the top target of the Bundesliga side to replace Davies, whose current contract expires in the summer.
The latter is expected to leave on a free transfer with no breakthrough on a potential extension. Real Madrid hold a long-standing interest in the Canada international.
Bayern held advanced talks with Hernandez last summer, though a deal fell through as the Germans opted to allow Davies to enter the final year of his deal. Sky Germany are reporting that Bayern are ready to renew their interest in Hernandez, who is also on the wish-list of Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim has made the signing of a left-back his priority at Manchester United in the upcoming transfer windows and Hernandez is one of the names under consideration. Coincidentally, Bayern’s Davies is also a player of interest to the Premier League side.
Hernandez has cemented a reputation as one of Europe’s best attacking full-backs in Milan. The 27-year-old has 72 goals and assists in 228 appearances for the Rossoneri and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season in four consecutive campaigns between 2020 and 2023. He has won 36 caps for France at international level.
