There is no question that Bayern Munich will have to shell out a lot of money to tie Jamal Musiala to a new long-term contract.
Musiala's annual salary is currently in the single-digit millions, but this would change in the event of a contract extension.
According to Sport1, Bayern would have to raise his wages to the level of current top earner Harry Kane, who can earn up to €22 million a year.
In return, Bayern want the contract to run as long as possible - possibly until 2030 - with no release clause.
Musiala recently stated that he only wants to focus on his performances at the moment and that a decision on his future will not be made until the new year.
"I can't say much about my contract situation at the moment. My focus right now is on the two DFB games," Musiala told a press conference at the Germany camp on Tuesday, before adding:
“I just want to finish the first half of the season well, go full steam ahead, win games - and then we'll see what happens.”
