Enzo Maresca is about to take his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Everton this weekend, and it will be very interesting to see how he handles it.
He’s been pretty blasé after a run of games without a win, shrugging off Tuesday’s defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League as it piled up the pressure. Clearly he’s decided his attitude will be to stay relaxed about the results and let things turn back in his favour.

It’s good to not aggravate the situation, but there’s a risk that he comes off looking like he’s not bothered that the season is once again hanging in the balance, just after it had started to take a really positive direction. Nizaar Kinsella’s piece for the BBC speaks about “negative momentum” building after four games without a win.
“There will be genuine pressure on the team from a demanding fan base that has, at times, been unconvinced by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, and only shown reluctant backing for the ownership depending on results,” the journalist writes, and he’s bang on.
Even when Maresca has been doing well, it’s always felt that the support of the fans has been contingent on that success. They’ve not warmed to his personality or his philosophy. That’s a tricky situation for a manager to be in at the very top, as there will always be period like this where things go wrong for a while.
Chelsea are in a nasty run of form, and according to Trevoh Chalobah they need to use one key factor tomorrow to try and turn that around.
Marc Casado is a player Chelsea have been looking at for some time if you believe the rumours, and the Blues are now considering a bid according to rumours online.
