Belgium took their World Cup win online, with the Royal Belgian FA gently teasing the United States on X after a 4-1 victory in the last 16.
The federation said in a post that "It's called soccer football" when confirming the result.

The tie was played on Monday night, in a context shaped by FIFA lifting Folarin Balogun's suspension.
The playful jab referenced the American name for the sport, also used in Canada and Samoa.
Belgium join Spain in the quarter-finals after Spain beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal 1-0 earlier. The last-eight tie is scheduled for Friday at 21:00.
