Jude Bellingham scored his first goal of the season to secure a narrow 1-0 victory for Real Madrid over Juventus in the Champions League, keeping Los Blancos’ perfect start intact.
The England midfielder, who has struggled for minutes since returning from a shoulder injury, reacted quickest to stab home a rebound after Vinicius Jr’s shot rattled the post, giving Madrid the crucial breakthrough just before the hour mark.
Juventus began brightly, forcing Thibaut Courtois into two early saves and seeing Dusan Vlahovic test the Belgian keeper later on.
Despite their initial spark, the Italian side gradually faded as Madrid grew into the contest, peppering Michele Di Gregorio’s goal with 14 first-half attempts. Kylian Mbappe went closest before the break, but the deadlock remained.
After Bellingham’s breakthrough, Madrid kept the pressure on. Federico Valverde fired a fierce volley wide, while Di Gregorio produced a brilliant double-save to deny Mbappe and Brahim Diaz.
Late on, Juventus’ Lois Openda was blocked by Raul Asencio, and a flurry of corners in stoppage time failed to find a way through.
The win keeps Real Madrid top of their group with three wins from three, while Juventus remain without a victory in the competition. For Bellingham, it was a timely first goal of the season and a reminder of his growing influence at the Bernabéu
