Benfica deleted a social media post after mistakenly labelling Andreas Schjelderup Danish.

According to Glorioso 1904, the image was shared after the 3-0 win over AVS SAD, which featured the return of Alexander Bah, a goalscorer on the night.

Bah appeared alongside Schjelderup with the caption "Super danish bros", implying a Danish duo, although Schjelderup is Norwegian.

The club removed the post and uploaded another focusing on the goalscorers from the 23rd round, correcting the error on its official account.

The result keeps José Mourinho’s side third on 55 points. They are provisionally four behind Porto, who host Rio Ave this round, and three off second-placed Sporting, who won 3-0 at Moreirense.

This season Schjelderup, valued at 14 million euros, has played 31 matches for Benfica, 17 in Liga Portugal Betclic, nine in Liga dos Campeões, four in Taça de Portugal and one in Taça da Liga. Across 1,597 minutes he has five goals and three assists.
