Benfica predicted XI v Monaco: Ángel Di María to start | OneFootball

Having missed the game over the weekend, Ángel Di María was a big doubt to face AS Monaco this evening. However, the Argentine not only travelled with the Benfica squad, but he also participated in training at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday night and is now in line for a start.

Di María made the difference when these two sides met in November with the former Paris Saint-Germain winger registering two assists late on as Benfica snatched all three points from Les Monégasques. He will likely start on the right wing with Vangelis Pavlidis playing through the middle.

There are absentees for the Portuguese side, however. Alexander Bah and Manu Silva both suffered ACL injuries over the weekend and their seasons are now over. Renato Sanches, on loan from PSG, is the other big-name absentee.
