Benfica rule out Saviolo signing after photo controversy | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Noah Saviolo will not join Benfica despite being photographed in a Benfica shirt, with the club prioritising other targets for 2026/27.

The image fuelled transfer chatter among supporters, but there is no sign the post related to a move.

The Portugal under-21 international intended to send the picture privately to Dodi Lukebakio after a shirt swap following the meeting between Vitória de Guimarães and Benfica at Estádio da Luz.

It was posted to his Instagram in error and removed swiftly.

In 2025/26 Saviolo, valued at around €10 million, made 36 appearances across the league, Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga. He logged 2,314 minutes, scoring two goals with five assists.

Antonio Nusa, the Leipzig winger, was likewise seen in Benfica kit in a photo shared during Norway’s training camp, drawing swift attention.
