Benfica target beats Hjulmand and Froholdt to March Liga Midfielder of the Month

Rodrigo Zalazar, a Benfica target, has again been named Liga Midfielder of the Month for March. According to Glorioso 1904, the Braga midfielder claimed the award.

The accolade was decided by the league's head coaches, with Zalazar securing 37.37% of the vote, a clear margin over his rivals.

During the assessed period, the No 10 featured in both Braga fixtures, against Sporting and Porto. He scored in each match and added an assist against Sporting.

The final tally placed Morten Hjulmand on 11.11% and Victor Froholdt on 10.10%.

In 2025/26, Zalazar is valued at €22 million and has 22 goals and seven assists in 41 appearances across 3,028 minutes. He has been among the standouts under Carlos Vicens.
