According to Record, Benfica aim to finalise the signing of Rafa Silva before the end of the week, with the forward keen to leave Besiktas.

President Rui Costa and the board want the deal wrapped up quickly so Jose Mourinho can include the 32-year-old in upcoming squads. The club and player have already agreed contract terms.

Talks with Besiktas remain the main hurdle. Benfica are prepared to pay about 5 million euros, while the Istanbul side are seeking around 7 million.

In addition to a fixed fee, Besiktas also want reimbursement for three months of wages paid during the period when Rafa Silva refused to play.

This season for Besiktas, the attacker is valued at 5 million euros and has made 16 appearances, 10 in the league, four in the Europa Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying. He has logged 1,360 minutes, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
