Benjamin Stambouli is back in the Metz squad for Friday's trip to Marseille, boosting the bottom club's midfield after missing the last seven matches.
L'Équipe reports that the feared midfield shortage is only partial. Believe Munongo, with a swollen knee, and Boubacar Traoré, with a calf issue, have not travelled for the 21:05 kick-off on Friday, while Jessy Deminguet can call on Alpha Touré and Stambouli. Head coach Benoît Tavenot had even suggested they would push one of them if required.
Touré, who missed the 0-0 draw with Nantes on Sunday, had pain when striking the ball on Wednesday but is available.
Stambouli has since taken part in three training sessions after a fractured rib, then an ankle problem, kept him out.
Metz remain bottom of Ligue 1 and are without a league win in 16 matches.
