Bernardo Silva ‘to join’ Real Madrid after Manchester City departure | OneFootball

Bernardo Silva is reportedly close to joining Real Madrid after nine seasons at Manchester City. Marca reports that talks are very advanced and an agreement is near, after he confirmed his departure in May.

AS says the 31-year-old attacking midfielder could sign a two-year deal with an option of at least one further season. He would link up with compatriot José Mourinho, whose return was officially announced by Real on Thursday.

It would be the fourth arrival said to be close at Real this summer, after Mourinho, with Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries expected in the coming days.

Earlier this summer, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid also showed interest. Silva is said to have chosen the club presided by Florentino Pérez.

If the deal is completed, Silva would be reunited with Kylian Mbappé, his former Monaco team-mate in 2016-17.
