According to L'Équipe, Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Pep Lijnders, assistant to Pep Guardiola, confirmed the news in a press conference on Saturday after the FA Cup quarter-final, a 4-0 win over Liverpool.
He praised Silva as a unique player and said every good story ends. Lijnders added he hoped the Portuguese would enjoy his final months, roughly six weeks, and receive a fitting farewell.
Silva, 31, joined City from Monaco in 2017 for €50 million, plus €20 million in bonuses.
He has won 18 trophies with City, including the league six times and the Champions League in 2023.
