Real Madrid’s ambitious summer rebuild may have hit an important obstacle, with the club now facing a squad registration problem that could force several departures before any further arrivals can be completed.
According to journalist Jorge Picon, Los Blancos currently have all 25 first-team squad places occupied following a busy transfer window that has already brought significant changes to the team.
The arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate, combined with Endrick’s return to the senior setup, have left Real Madrid with no available room for additional signings.
Although Franco Mastantuono remains registered with the reserve side for now, the situation remains extremely tight, creating a severe challenge for the club’s sporting department.
Despite already strengthening multiple positions, Real Madrid’s transfer activity may not be over, with the club still interested in adding another central defender before the window closes.

There is also the possibility of pursuing a new left-back should the right opportunity emerge in the market.
However, before any further additions can be approved, squad places must be freed.
Notably, the departures of David Alaba and Dani Carvajal created room, but subsequent arrivals have filled those vacancies.
As things stand, Real Madrid simply cannot continue adding players without first reducing the size of Mourinho’s squad.
Among the players at risk are Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga, Raul Asencio and Fran Garcia.

Ceballos appears to be one of the most likely candidates to leave. The Spanish midfielder expects his role to decrease further under Mourinho and has already begun assessing possible destinations.
While Ajax have been mentioned as a potential option, a return to Real Betis is believed to be his preferred outcome.
Fran Garcia’s future is also far from guaranteed. Despite delivering solid performances whenever called upon, the left-back has struggled to fully establish himself as an undisputed starter.
Simply put, Real Madrid’s current roster is packed with talent, but an overloaded squad can create problems throughout a long season.
Hence, if Real Madrid genuinely intend to strengthen further, player sales will become a necessity rather than an option.
