Young talents are currently writing soccer history at the U17 World Cup in Qatar, and one of them has captured the international limelight with his exceptional performances
Johannes Moser, aged just 17, has established himself as an outstanding figure at the tournament and, with eight goals, has played a major part in Austria’s sensational run to the final. According to oe24.at, Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim have now set their sights on the attacking player
Moser, who currently plays for FC Liefering in the Austrian second division, is regarded as a versatile attacking player. In Qatar, he not only shone as a goalscorer, but also as a driving force in the game. Christoph Freund, currently sporting director at FC Bayern, knows the talented attacker from their time together in Salzburg and has been following his development for years
The U17 World Cup brought the Carinthian to international attention. With eight goals, he is one of the most successful players in the history of the tournament. Only three players have ever scored more goals, including Victor Osimhen and Souleymane Coulibaly

The German record champions embarked on a clear cost-cutting course in the summer and are increasingly focusing on young players with potential. A potential transfer of Moser would fit perfectly into this strategy. Lennart Karl, a 17-year-old home-grown talent, is already causing a sensation at Säbener Straße. The idea of Moser and Karl playing together in the future is likely to be extremely appealing to many Bayern fans
Another model would be a stopover at Hoffenheim – a path that players such as David Alaba have already taken in the past with great success
After the World Cup final against Portugal, Moser will return to his usual routine of school and the championship, but in Qatar he impressively played his way into the notebooks of numerous top clubs. The next step in the exceptional talent’s career could come sooner than the second division schedule would suggest.
