The Juventus Women’s First Team’s first home game of the 2025/26 Serie A Women’s Cup ended in defeat, with Lazio taking the points back to the capital from Biella on Sunday afternoon.

THE MATCH REPORT

On what was a tricky afternoon for the Bianconere against a tough opponent, their first chance of the game fell the way of Emma Stolen Godo, but her header was relatively easily dealt with by Lazio goalkeeper Francesca Durante.

Two chances then fell the way of the visitors with Flaminia Simonetti and Martina Piemonte trying their luck still in the very opening exchanges.

Durante was alert again to keep out Emma Kullberg, and then again to deny Amalie Vangsgaard as the hosts’ frustrations grew and before Clarisse Le Bihan hit Pauline Peyraud-Magnin’s crossbar with a header.

Kullberg and Vangsgaard each again tried their luck, but to no success.

The Danish forward went close again early in the second half but couldn’t find a way to beat Durante, and at the other end Peyraud-Magnin had to be at her most alert to prevent Piemonte from scoring.

Massimiliano Canzi looked to his bench to break the deadlock, and Michela Cambiaghi tried to get active after her introduction but didn’t enjoy any more success than her teammates who had started the game.

Chiara Beccari, another substitute, sought an opener herself to no avail, and Noemi Visentin then popped up with a later winner for Lazio.
