MATCH REPORT

A tough away trip for Juventus Women began with Canzi's team starting strong and controlling the game, with Stolen Godo failing to find the target with a free kick in the 9th minute. At the other end, however, AC Milan striker Ijeh fired a weak shot off in the 17th minute, allowing De Jong to save.

Milan however managed to take the lead in the 20th minute following a cross from the right wing, with Ijeh once again running into the six-yard box but this time she managed to score.

The Bianconere responded with a Cristiana Girelli free kick that went over the bar, while in the 32nd minute Beccari launched a header from a good position, forcing Giuliani into a difficult save.

Juventus Women then managed to find the strength and resilience to equalize at the last possible opportunity. A Bonansea cross from the right towards the center of the box found Girelli who did not miss the opportunity to score her second goal of the season, making the score 1-1.

In the second half, the Bianconere tried to build on their momentum, with an attempt from Bonansea and another via Lenzini in the first 15 minutes of the second half, but they were unable to find the net.

Milan, however, took the lead again with their first real push in the second half when Dompig made it through a melee in the box with a powerful and precise shot that flew in at the far post.

In the 72nd minute, the Rossonere had another big opportunity, with De Jong producing a triple-save after Ijeh's close-range attempts, while at the other end, Juventus' counter attacks bolstered by their various players who came off the bench failed to prove decisive.

The Juventus Women's final push towards the end of the game led to a dangerous shot from Krumbiegel from the edge of the box in the 85th minute, but her right-footed effort went just wide. The score therefore remained unchanged, 2-1 to Milan at the final whistle, condemning the Bianconere to their second league defeat.
