Blues are set for another busy window of activity under Chris Davies
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Birmingham City's spending in the transfer market has reached unprecedented levels under the ownership of Knighthead Capital Management, with the Second City outfit able to attract a raft of high-profile and experienced names to St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
Such feats have been particularly evident since Tom Wagner turned to Chris Davies as the club's latest manager in June 2024, with the West Midlands outfit full of ambition under the American's ownership.
It was well-documented that Birmingham outspent some Premier League teams ahead of their solitary and record-breaking campaign in League One last term, which was largely down to the fact an eight-figure sum was parted with to secure the services of England Under-21 international forward and former St. Andrew's loan favourite, Jay Stansfield, on a permanent seven-year contract from Fulham.
Despite many outsiders opting to cringe at such spending power being flexed, Birmingham have had no regrets about the acquisition, with Stansfield currently leading the club's scoring charts for a third successive term, whilst Davies opted to recruit a further 14 permanent and loan players ahead of the Championship season.
However, whilst they were tipped, by many, to be a consistent force in the promotion and play-off race, their current position of 14th - seven points behind sixth - embodies a rather inconsistent first 26 league games of the campaign, meaning that a handful of changes in the current window have been deemed necessary.
Football League World understand that as many as eight departures could be sanctioned, with three players already exiting, whilst Kai Wagner's move from Philadelphia Union is set to be backed up with the arrivals of Mjallby AIF's Abdoulie Manneh and Girona FC midfielder, Jhon Solis.
All three of the aforementioned deals have left Bluenoses extremely satisfied with how the first week of the transfer window has panned out. However, with three weeks still to go until the deadline on February 2nd, Football League World's Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason Moore, revealed three further players he would love Davies to push transfer advances for.

It has been claimed that one area which Blues are looking to strengthen in is Davies' attacking department, with Lyndon Dykes becoming the subject of reported interest from Charlton Athletic, Leicester City and Ipswich Town, although Kyogo Furuhashi is expected to remain at St. Andrews, with the Japanese ending a five-month goal drought against Cambridge United after conflicting links of a reunion with Celtic had emerged.
Regardless, Moore identified former Birmingham striker, Che Adams, Norwich City's wantaway forward, Josh Sargent and Davis Keillor-Dunn of Barnsley as three players he would love to see in royal blue by the time the window ends.
"There's three players that stand out for me. Whether they're realistic, I don't know. But they are my absolute 'go-to' (signings)," Moore told FLW.
"I think it would be absolutely fantastic if we could get Che Adams back," he added.
"Che Adams would be amazing. The pace and power he's got is fantastic, and his game's evolved tonnes since he left us.
Him up top on his own would be fantastic, and I think people like Jay Stansfield could learn a lot from him," Moore claimed.
"My second one. I've always liked him, I just don't see it happening as it looks like he's going elsewhere, but I'd love us to get Josh Sargent.
"Josh Sargent in this team would be absolutely fantastic, and I think he'd lead the line so, so well. But, it doesn't look like it would happen," he admitted.
"A realistic one, where I think he could come in and make an impact, even though I don't think it's the way we'd go, is Davis Keillor-Dunn from Barnsley.
"When we played Barnsley last season, he looked a real threat and looked like a player better than League One (level). I think he could do a job in the Championship," said Moore.

"I liked him last season, I still like him. He's miles better than Barnsley and League One, so that would be my realistic one."
Whilst all three names would be statement additions for Blues, it would take some effort to acquire at least Adams or Sargent to begin with.
It was claimed last week that chiefs at the club have looked at the possibility of another reunion transfer, replicating Demarai Gray's return from the summer, with Adams departing six-and-a-half years ago after netting 38 goals in 123 games before also helping Southampton return to the Premier League in 2023/24 ahead of a free transfer to current employers, Torino.
Sargent has earned a reputation as one of the division's most lethal finishers in recent seasons with Norwich, and as a result, the USMNT forward has been heavily linked with multiple Premier League sides.
The 25-year-old is currently making headlines, though, as Canaries boss, Philippe Clement, stated that the forward deemed himself unavailable for the 5-1 FA Cup success over Walsall at Carrow Road whilst MLS side, Toronto FC, lodged a $18m bid for his services.
Meanwhile, FLW exclusively revealed that Barnsley are expected to cash in on Keillor-Dunn this transfer window.
The 28-year-old has already scored over 30 goals in just 18 months at Oakwell after joining from Mansfield Town, with the Tykes placing a valuation in excess of £5m on his services amid summer interest from Charlton and Middlesbrough.
