Transfer interest in the 23-year-old is beginning to mount.
Blackburn Rovers have joined Lancashire rivals Preston North End - as well as Derby County - in the race to sign Hull City defender Cody Drameh.
With yet another season of Championship experience under his belt, Drameh, 23, is becoming quite the topic of transfer discussion this summer.
He has only been with Hull for one season after joining them as a free agent following his release from Leeds United. For the relegation-scrapping side, he appeared 28 times in Championship matches, 17 of which he started.
Blackburn have obviously been impressed by what they've seen from Drameh, and are now involved in the race to try and sign him this summer, according to the Lancashire Evening Post.
Derby and Preston have already seen offers for Drameh be rejected by the Tigers, who are currently on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Ruben Selles. County boss John Eustace worked with the right-back when he was on loan with Birmingham City in the 2023/24 campaign.
Their initial proposal to Hull was a loan one, as per Pete O'Rourke. Preston's offer was a verbal one before they followed up with an official bid a few days later, according to the LEP.
These turned-down approaches have not deterred them, though. Sky Sports reported that they are expected to come back with fresh terms.
Derby may look to sign Drameh, who Hull reportedly value at £1 million, permanently this time around. However, the LEP also said that the Tigers' valuation may need to drop if they want to sell the 23-year-old.
Blackburn are in the midst of a similarly turbulent period to the club they are looking to buy Drameh from. It was announced on Thursday that Steve Waggott, the now former CEO, had left his position at the club.
His departure had been hinted at for some time, but the statement came very suddenly and abruptly, leaving some to wonder whether it was something more than just retirement thoughts that got the 77-year-old out the door at Ewood Park.
With three of their league rivals all battling to sign the right-back, the Tigers can afford to hold strong on their reported £1 million valuation. He has also got another two years left on his deal, so they truly do hold all of the cards in this situation.
The only thing that may hurt them is the manager situation. Their owner, Acun Ilicali, is hopeful that the process can be concluded in the near future - it could be sorted within a week, according to the Turkish businessman - but there are no guarantees on that.
Plus, whoever does succeed Selles will need time to assess whether Drameh is a player that could be useful for Hull going forward. Blackburn, Derby and Preston won't want to hang around waiting for a decision on the full-back for too long.
