Blesa equaliser lifts Rio Ave to 12th | OneFootball

Casa Pia 1-1 Rio Ave at the Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior, the point lifting the visitors from 13th to 12th in Liga Portugal.

Gaizka Larrazabal put Casa Pia ahead in the 35th minute, turning in from close range after Dailon Livramento kept a corner alive.

After the restart, Jalen Blesa levelled for Rio Ave with a rising finish into the centre of the net (52.).

The hosts carried much of the threat, registering 20 attempts with five on target and forcing nine corners. Rio Ave were sparing but efficient, producing six efforts with three on target and enjoying 58.7% possession.

Casa Pia freshened their attack on 59 minutes with Jeremy Livolant and Rafael Brito, and late on Korede Osundina fired over from the centre of the area (90.). A brief stoppage for goalkeeper Patrick Sequeira punctuated the closing stages.

The result leaves Casa Pia 16th and bound for the relegation play-offs. Rio Ave finish 12th on 36 points.
