Fulham are reportedly no longer exploring a move for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia, per journalist Nizaar Kinsella.
Manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear he doesn’t want to part with the 22-year-old this summer.
Garcia is one of the best talents to come out of Madrid’s youth academy in recent years.
He enjoyed a breakout season in 2025-26, making 39 appearances across all competitions.
Although most of those appearances came off the bench, the Spaniard impressed with his performances, bagging eight goals and three assists.
Garcia wants more game time this campaign, but that is unlikely with Kylian Mbappe in the squad.
Fulham are desperate to bolster their attack after the departures of Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez on free transfers.
Wilson and Jimenez scored 19 Premier League goals between them last season as the Cottagers finished 11th in the table.
Alvaro Arbeloa wanted a reunion with Garcia, having managed the player during his time in Madrid.
Fulham will now have to look at alternatives, with the La Liga giants intent on keeping the forward.
The London outfit have made a slow start to the summer transfer window.
They have yet to add another new player after confirming the permanent signing of Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich.
