RC Strasbourg Alsace finished top of the table in the UEFA Europa Conference League ‘League Phase’ and, despite a drop in form in Ligue 1 in recent weeks, remain in contention to finish inside the places for European qualification once again this season.
However, their bid to do so could soon be dealt a blow. When Liam Rosenior took over in the summer of 2024, he inherited a side that, the previous season, had found itself mired in a relegation battle. He instigated an emphatic rise up the table.
But he could now be set to depart. Rosenior’s name is being heavily linked with the vacant managerial role at Chelsea, the “big brother” of the BlueCo family, following Enzo Maresca’s sacking on New Year’s Day.
The potential for disruption at Le Racing is huge, however, BlueCo, “couldn’t care less” about that. That is according to someone close to BlueCo’s co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who was speaking to L’Équipe.
